SNAP
In the United States, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, formerly known as the Food Stamp Program, is a federal government program run by the U.S. Department of Agriculture that provides food benefits to low-income families to supplement their grocery budget so they can afford the nutritious food essential to health and well-being.
Eligibility & Screening
Alcance Latino works with Feeding Westchester to provide information to Westchester County residents about the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program. Inquiries about SNAP eligibility and the application process can be made in the Alcance Latino main office. Arrangements can also be made to have a full-time SNAP coordinator from Feeding Westchester make home visits to seniors and disabled persons to assist them in the screening and application process.
